What is the Jacaré Issue TrackerSM?

The Jacaré Issue TrackerSM is a project management tool, used to keep track of issues or problems that are encountered by a project team. Jacaré provides a central repository for the issues on a project, and provides tools for a project team to manage those issues.

Since it is a hosted application, there is no need to purchase software and go through the hassle of installing it on a server and getting it set up.

So how does it work? Simply put, a project manager can start a new project (via "New Project") and customize it using "Project Settings". This will include setting up team members (called "Resources") and security for the team members, issue priorities, and issue areas and types specific to the project. Of course, the project manager or any designated team member can change the project customizations at any time, and our support staff is happy to help.

Once a project is set up, the team members can use "Manage Issues" to add and track issues. This includes a powerful viewing tool that allows team members to create and save views to see the issues the way they want - and manage issues using those views. In addition, the views can be printed easily and exported to a variety of formats, so you can use your data any way you want. The team members can specify e-mail notification preferences, so they can be notified when actions take place against issues they care about or are responsible for.
