System Requirements
The Jacaré Issue TrackerSM is a hosted service, so no server hardware or software is required.
For users, there are three simple requirements:
- Screen resolution of at least 800x600
- Internet connection (minimum 56kbps dial-up connectivity)
- Web Browser that can run Sun Microsystem's Java 1.4 Plug-In. Please ensure that "Enable Java" is checked in your browser's preferences.
Some platforms/browsers that support this are:
- Windows 98/NT/2000/XP+: Internet Explorer v5.5+, Netscape v7.0+, Firefox v1.0+
- Macintosh OSX 10.2+: Safari 1.0+, Internet Explorer v5.0+, Netscape v7.0+, Firefox v1.0+
- Linux/Unix: Mozilla 1.0+, Netscape v7.0+, Firefox v1.0+
On Macintosh, no installation is required as the plug-in is included. On Windows, the web page should automatically install the Plug-In if it detects it is not present (approximately 6mb download to install). On Linux/Unix, please refer to www.java.com for detailed instructions on how to properly install the plug-in.
